Having a comprehensive advertising agency to carry out an advertising campaign is usually overwhelming logic, and in the vast majority of cases it will be the option that will give us the best results. An advertising campaign is often aligned with very specific business and marketing objectives, but capturing the attention of the target audience is not an easy task.
What is an advertising agency in
charge of?
The main function of an advertising agency, simplifying a lot,
is to develop a strategy to publicize your brand, product or service and
position it in the minds of your potential clients to improve commercial
results.
There are many types of advertising, but broadly speaking,
the most conventional formula is to generate creatives or communicative pieces
and spread them through the channels that our potential audience can frequent.
It sounds easy, but the possibilities are endless. The
advertising convention or ATL (Above the line) is the one that uses
conventional means that sell advertising space. Radio, television or the press
are the three major mass media that sell advertising, but today Internet
channels, such as Google, blogs or social networks also sell advertising space.
BTL advertising is advertising that uses less conventional
means to contact the audience. Direct marketing or guerrilla marketing are BTL
techniques, but with the emergence of the internet we also find multiple
techniques, such as influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing,
etc.
An advertising campaign does not have to focus on one of
these two techniques but can use a liquid, channel, or 360ยบ strategy. There are
multiple nomenclatures, but at the end of the day they mean the same thing:
impact the user from multiple channels. Or even better, 'chase' the user
(through the famous remarketing).
A comprehensive advertising agency will take care of this
entire process, from the conceptualization of the campaign, the strategy, the
production of the creatives, the media plan and the review of the results.
Example of an advertising campaign
As an advertising agency, in the midst of the coronavirus
crisis, we did many express advertising campaigns that were not in the annual
marketing strategy. It was the result of the unpredictable conditions of the
pandemic, and most of the campaigns had the objective of adapting the
communication of the brand to the exceptional situation in which we found
ourselves.
In this context, some campaigns were created not
strategically planned, but necessary to face such an exceptional situation.
For the winery, we made a special confinement pack, with an optimistic message, conveying the concept that being locked up could be an ideal time to enjoy a good wine. An ecommerce product was created, creatives were made, online investment in display channels and remarketing were made, and the results were overwhelming: a spectacular peak in sales and web traffic, with an audience turned over with an optimistic message in such rarefied moments.
